BMW has unveiled the redesigned Z4 sports car with updated styling and new standard equipment. Read on for all the relevant information.

Before the end of 2022, the alternative to the Porsche Boxster and Audi TT will be available with either a 2.0-liter or 3.0-liter engine.

BMW Z4 design revision

Comparing the old BMW Z4 to the new one would be a difficult game of "spot the difference," but there are a few subtle modifications that keep it looking modern.

At the front, there is a revised bumper, a new design for the kidney grilles, and a new design for the LED daytime running lights.

The side profile remains unchanged, with the exception of new designs for the alloy wheels. These begin at 18 inches but can be upgraded to 19 inches if desired.

The rear end is essentially identical as well. The lower bumper is a bit more aggressive, but otherwise the design is the same as before. The new BMW Z4 is now also available in an alluring shade of purple.

New BMW Z4 engine and transmission

The new BMW Z4 is offered with the same variety of engines as its predecessor. The M40i models offer a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 197 horsepower or a 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 340 horsepower. View the following video to see how the Z4 drives...

You now receive standard front collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and speed limit assist, which displays the current speed limit in the instrument cluster.

The interior and technology of the new BMW Z4

The interior of the new BMW Z4 is identical to that of its predecessor. There are many shiny trim pieces and two 10.25-inch screens for the digital driver display and the infotainment system.

Unlike the most recent BMW models, the new Z4 still has a rotary controller for the infotainment system and real buttons for the climate control.
