Mercedes-Benz built the W212 and S212 E-Class series, the fourth generation of the E-Class line of executive vehicles, between 2009 and 2016 to replace the W211 E-Class. The range's body types include: 4-door sedan or coupe (W212) five-door estate or wagon (S212)
The C207 and A207, which replace the CLK-Class coupé and cabriolet, are the coupé and convertible versions of the same-year E-Class that are derived from the W204 C-Class. Since 2009, the W212 and S212 also have a high-performance E 63 AMG variant. A facelift for the E-Class lineup debuted in 2013 and included significant stylistic updates, fuel economy enhancements, and modernized safety features.
