At the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz also unveiled the fast C 63 coupe from Mercedes-AMG. The C 63 coupe differs from its more subdued sibling in numerous ways through its distinctive design cues. The car's muscular front bumper, which has larger air intake scoops to provide more air to the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine and its high-performance brakes, is the most noticeable. The hood has some strong ripples that the standard C-Class Coupe does not, and the grille is particularly distinctive.
The inflated wheel arches on the C 63 coupe show that it also benefits from having a wider track. The Mercedes-AMG variant also has larger wheels, measuring 19 inches in diameter. The 18-inch wheels on the C-Class Coupe are standard.
The mechanical setup resembles the C 63 car almost exactly. The C 63 coupe will have 469 horsepower (350 kW), and the S-badged version will have 503 horsepower (375 kW). A seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters will exclusively drive the rear wheels.
