There has never been a small, uncomfortable, affordable, or effective Toyota Alphard. One of those things has now undergone a significant change.
The Alphard Hybrid was formally introduced in Singapore for the first time by dealer Borneo Motors in May. The Alphard and its sister vehicle, the Vellfire, have both been made as hybrids since the second generation in 2008 and are both offered here as grey/parallel imports, so the petrol-electric model may not come as a surprise to some people. The third-generation car entered this market (also officially) in 2015, and from what we can gather, it still looks largely the same, but the Hybrid model does add some notable features. The self-leveling full LED headlights also feature updated style that blends well with the newer grille design, which has a sharper lower lip.
