Many people might be unaware that Honda's second-ever manufacturing vehicle was a rear-wheel drive, two-seat roadster. The S500, which helped establish the kei sports car category in Japan, is still among the most recognizable examples of the brand. The same may be said about the successors, especially the S600 in 1964. The Honda S600 was the first item the company mass-marketed and the first vehicle it produced with left-hand drive to cater to foreign markets. Following the S line of sports cars, Honda began producing the well-known and adored sensible yet superb vehicles.
