The Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 high-performance racing engine is nestled in the central monocoque, which is constructed from carbon-titanium and is more rigid and lighter than ever before. This four-wheel wonder boasts a power output of 950 HP and a torque of 1010 Nm. The engine is bolted directly to the central monocoque, and a mechanical cable controls the throttle, resulting in immediate throttle response and improved propulsor performance.
The Zonda R's transversal sequential gearbox in magnesium, upgraded by Xtrac transmission technology, Automac Engineering automation, and shift paddles positioned behind the steering wheel, can execute gearshifts in a mere 20 milliseconds.
With a power-to-weight ratio of 701 hp-per-ton and Pirelli Pzero tires, the Zonda R can propel the driver from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.7 seconds, while Brembo carbon ceramic brakes ensure rapid deceleration.
