The top model in the R8 series is the Audi R8 V10 Plus. It produces 550 horsepower and 540 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. The R8 V10 plus gets a top speed of 317 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds when equipped with a 7 Speed S-Tronic Automatic transmission.
The R8 embodies all of Audi's experience in extremely lightweight construction, and like in auto racing, this vehicle's aerodynamics have been tuned for propulsion. Five NACA nozzles and two diffusors in the front area of the underfloor work together to boost propulsion at the front axle.
The Plus is specifically fitted with carbon fiber air inlets, mirrors, and side blades. With carbon fiber paneling and LED lighting, the motif is carried through to the engine compartment.
